Farm Raffle Tickets for this year were available for pickup by Coaches at the PICTURE DAY on July 17th to be distributed to players.
If any Coach was not present at Picture Day and did not pick them up, please plan to PICK UP your team's raffle tickets at any of the Concession Stands this week, beginning Tuesday (7/20/21 - 7/25/21) during game times.
Coaches should pick up ONE RAFFLE PACKET (10 individual tickets) per player and distribute to your team.
Players are asked to sell tickets and keep monies collected, as the raffle tickets were pre-paid during the registration process.
Turn in all ticket stubs to any MTZ Concession Stand by Friday, August 13th.
Raffle ticket drawing will be held at the end of the season, after August 19th.
IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER - FARM LEAGUE WILL USE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES TO DETERMINE IF THERE WILL BE PLAY (Practice or Games):
Coaches will monitor the field and make the determination if practice will be canceled or moved to an alternate location (i.e. batting cages, grassy area, etc.). Coaches will contact players with final determination.
Farm League Board and Grounds Crew will monitor the fields and determine if they are playable for a GAME. The call will be made and announced by 4p.m. each game day with inclement weather. The decision will be posted on the Mt. Zion Youth Baseball/Softball Facebook page and emailed through the website. After 4p.m., the call to cancel a game will be made by the Umpire and Coaches, jointly.
For this season, rainout cancellations WILL NOT be rescheduled. Because the season was so late, there were EXTRA games built in to the schedule to accommodate for rainouts.

INFO FOR ALL AGES:
This league is an introduction to baseball and softball. Practices will start in early April. Before the games start in early May they will practice 1 or 2 days a week in the evenings or during the day on the weekends. When games start they might practice 1 day a week or maybe not at all depending on the schedule. They will usually play 1 game a week in the evenings. There are some weeks they could have 2 games per week.
MTZYBS will provide a baseball hat for the boys. We use the MTZYBS red/black reversible jerseys for this league. If you don't have one you will need to purchase one for $20.00. You will have the option of doing this later in the registration process.
The kids in this league wear white or grey pants that the league DOES NOT provide. You can get these at Walmart or Play it Again Sports. Your child will also need a glove. If you have a bat that is a plus but other kids will have them to use. The league will supply the batting helmets.
